Robert Degroff

 

January 27, 1950 – March 24, 2006

Robert Degroff died on March 24, 2006 due to lung and kideny failure. He was a teacher at Colton High School where he coached speech and debate and taught AP Government and Economics. During his 19 years at a teacher at Colton High School he coached one Student Congress state champion and 3 Presiding Officer state champions. He was also President of the Citrus Belt Speech Region for 12 years and President of the California High Speech Association for the past 2 years. Bob also coached at Orange High School in Virgina prior to his service at Colton High. His impact on California speech and debate was significant and his experience will surely be missed by those who knew. The founders of this site were proud to have been his students.
